Road Trip!!! Day 3 - Santa Fe ALL DAY

We slept in a bit the morning of our third day, and then we both had to spend some time on work. Ugh. Bliss has been able to do her work really well in the car (thankfully, we have wi-fi in our car which has helped a ton), but she had a lot of work in her classes this week. So, I drew floor plans from my client meetings in Laramie while she worked for a few extra hours.

Meow Wolf and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum both being closed was a huge bummer! I so wanted Bliss to experience Georgia O’Keeffe’s work up close — and I haven’t yet been to Meow Wolf. :( But Bliss found another perfect activity: the Randall Davey Audubon Center & Sanctuary. What a fun place to share with my bird-lover! We even saw some new bird species for her to add to her list — and so many hummingbirds.

Famished, we drove back into town for late lunch at The Teahouse on Canyon Road. The small tea-obsessed girl was in heaven — the tea menu was, like, six pages long. There was even a Duck Shit Oolong, which was super tempting… We followed lunch with some gallery-hopping and shopping.

We strolled around downtown, had a margarita (for the mom!) and ended our day with a French dinner that left a bit to be desired. But we were happy and tired and giggled at each other all the way through dinner. And we learned that our selfie skills are even worse than I imagined. In the morning, we’ll head south through a bit of Texas to Oklahoma.
